Our Region Reads Committee
I’m sorry to report that Sandy Burnett has decided to step down from the Our Region Reads Committee. Sandy led us through a wonderfully successful program last year and got us off to a great start this year. She will be missed. I’m pleased to chair this committee and very happy for the opportunity to work on this project with such exceptionally motivated and talented people. I think we’ve chosen a very intriguing book and I have high expectations for the kinds of programs we'll be able to develop for our communities.
Karen Yother has agreed to help the ORR committee with grant writing again this year. She did an exceptional job last year and it will be great to have her help and support again this year.
We’ve got lots of interesting things to discuss at our next meeting including a possible name change. On Oct 3rd Anne will unveil a new logo design and we’ll discuss the possibility of changing our name to North Idaho Reads.
Here’s a quick synopses of the agenda for Oct 3rd.
· Name change and new logo design.
· Timeline
Narrow down program themes according to target audiences.
The next step will be a preliminary budget for grant writing purposes.
